QUALITY OF LIFE<br \/>\nAirdrie residents feel safe and are happy with their community according to a March 2013 Citizen Satisfaction Survey.\u00a0 Results from the poll showed that 96% of respondents rate the quality of life as \u2018good to very good,\u2019 and 100% of people feel safe to walk alone in their neighbourhood.\u00a0 Having one of Alberta\u2019s lowest property tax brackets also helps to draw young families and businesses to the area.\u00a0 The City of Airdrie does not collect a business tax rate, which is a huge benefit for the business community.\u00a0 Current statistics show that about 1,000 out of the more than 1,800 businesses in Airdrie are home-based, and now larger national and international corporations are opening offices and creating jobs here as well.<\/p>\n<p>2.
